Which groups of students are favored or disadvantaged by the current school system? And how has the student's role in school changed over time? Professor Mona Holmqvist explores these questions in a lecture at the Humanities and Theology Day at Lund University 2024.
The design of the school system has always favored or disadvantaged different groups of students. The perception of learning also influences which students are offered the best conditions to succeed in the school system, says Mona Holmqvist, professor of educational science. Today's requirements, for example, disadvantage students with ADHD and autism even if they do not have any cognitive difficulties.
