Previous research shows that the relationship between teachers and students is crucial for student engagement and motivation to learn. But what actually characterizes a good teacher-student relationship, and how can it be understood and developed within the context of higher education pedagogy to create socially sustainable higher education? This is part of the content of the course Relationskompetens i högre utbildning, a national course that we at the Division of Higher Education Development would like to recommend.

More specifically, the course aims to increase your awareness and understanding of the significance of the teacher-student relationship for student learning, while also providing you with tools to actively and consciously work on developing your relational competence as a teacher.

Target audience: The course is aimed at you, a teacher in higher education, whether you have just started your position or have years of experience. The course is national, so you are welcome to participate regardless of which institution you belong to.
