Mona Holmqvist is a professor of educational sciences with a focus on research into schools and the teaching profession. She has a long academic background and has taught at all levels, particularly in teacher education and special education with a focus on autism. She is also the initiator of the seminar series Higher Seminars in Educational Sciences, which aims to foster an active discussion on how research can be applied in teaching and education.
Katarina Mårtensson is Lund University’s first professor of educational sciences with a focus on research into higher education. She is the director of doctoral studies in educational sciences and teaches at the Division for Higher Education Development (AHU). Her research focuses on university teachers' professional development, academic leadership, and collegiality in higher education.
During the ceremony, Professor Helena Sandberg delivered a popular science lecture, and the chair of Lund University’s student unions, Mia Huovilainen, addressed the newly installed professors with a student tribute. The event concluded with a reception in the Pillar Hall, where colleagues and guests had the opportunity to congratulate the new professors.
